About Us

Aston Bright Futures (formerly AstonSIS) is a student run organisation and offers a unique opportunity for both students and companies to network together. We do this by organising FREE skills events with companies for our members which help build students’ key employability skills. At the same time, businesses can promote their brand and job opportunities to hundreds of potential employees throughout Aston University and the campus.

The skills events we organise with companies include application skills, interviewing skills, assessment centre skills, communication skills, presentation skills, team-working skills, customer handling skills, problem solving skills, negotiation skills and many, many more! These skills events are delivered by companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Unilever, PricewaterhouseCoopers, CapGemini and others, who are some of the biggest companies in the world.

Aston Bright Futures is part of the national organisation Bright Futures, which has a dedicated management committee and representations at over 30 top-tier universities. Although Aston Bright Futures is run independently, we take support and guidance from Bright Futures. With a current member base of over 300 members, Aston Bright Futures is one of the biggest and most successful Bright Futures societies in the United Kingdom. Aston Bright Futures is proud to represent Aston University, which is a world renowned university producing some of the most able graduates throughout the country. Since we are students ourselves, we understand what students want. We form the critical relationship between student and employer, like no other organisation can. This allows us to help companies effectively reach their message throughout Aston University and for students to benefit from getting to know their employer first-hand.
